The working organic farm on this family's property was the inspiration for this 1200 sf addition/remodel. Spatial requests included larger living spaces, a bedroom, and a better connection to the backyard. A shotgun layout fit the bill.
The design focuses on modern farmhouse touches to both the interior and exterior living spaces. The large 16 foot sliding door creates an almost seamless connection into the backyard gardens, while the 14 foot island became the center point for the family gathering spaces and celebrates the food grown outside.
